What I mean by this is that I am passionate about creating opportunities for people to learn about and practice living lives that are
… committed to caring for those in our neighborhoods and in distant lands,
… infused with meaning and purpose, and
… robust with quiet rhythms of soul care.
This means not only talking or thinking about – but tangibly experiencing – important matters of justice, belonging, change-making, and spirituality. To this end, I write books, talk about, and gather people whenever and however possible to explore, together, the how and the why of all of this. What I do is always about the practical and the tangible, because our daily life is the best – dare I say, the only? – place to start.
I am persuaded that the more these soulful ways of living permeate our everyday lives, the more our words, thoughts, and actions are transformed – not because hustling to make something of ourselves, but because that’s what happens when life is fueled by love.
