What I mean by this is that I am passionate about creating opportunities for people to learn about and practice living lives that are
… committed to caring for those in our neighborhoods and in distant lands,
… infused with meaning and purpose, and
… robust with quiet rhythms of soul care.
This means not only talking or thinking about – but tangibly experiencing – important matters of justice, belonging, change-making, and spirituality. To this end, I write books, talk about, and gather people whenever and however possible to explore, together, the how and the why of all of this. What I do is always about the practical and the tangible, because our daily life is the best – dare I say, the only? – place to start.
I am persuaded that the more these soulful ways of living permeate our everyday lives, the more our words, thoughts, and actions are transformed – not because hustling to make something of ourselves, but because that’s what happens when life is fueled by love.
The vision for these two organizations is to meet, inspire, and encourage people in the midst of daily life and to build a community that is unstoppably committed to the well-being of one another. My hope is that we are moved to open up, reach out across boundaries, and deepen our commitment to care for our souls … and each other.

We love to make giving easy.
It’s simple to set up once and your monthly donation will be automatically directed towards our fundraisers throughout the year. Know that you are helping people each and every month. Consider stretching to give as much as you can. If that’s $10 (=2 lattes a month!), that is plenty! All donations are tax deductible.
When I have the honor and opportunity to speak with a community or a group, I love to do so in a way that weaves together moments of quiet contemplation, soulful pondering, and community sharing. I curate content specific to your community, so that attendees are inspired to make unique-to-them contributions, offer their gifts in response to some of the world’s greatest challenges, and do so fueled from within for life’s highs and lows.
